In our communities infertility has been treated with a mind-set that says ‘it’s embarrassing to seek help openly’, ‘treatment is expensive’ hence many women and men continue to be burdened by the effects of failing to conceive.


The Point of Care Early Infant Diagnosis machines bring hope to mothers

This Ministry of Health and Child Care program is supported by AFRICAID Zvandiri and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF). 

POC EID is a program which focuses on testing infants exposed to HIV and AIDS at 6weeks, at the point of receiving care.

Speaking on the program the POC EID focal person for Matabeleland North province Perpetual Mthombeni pointed out that POC EID is a welcome development in managing HIV and AIDS in children.


Cancer Campaign to the churches

The first lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa is embarking on a countrywide cancer awareness campaign in churches around ZimbabweOn Saturday 15 April she addressed congregates at the Mugodhi Apostolic Faith Church Passover Conference in Hwedza. She urged churches to take a leading role in the fight against cancer.
