New COVID 19 variant remain vigilant, President Mnangagwa

In recent weeks, the country has witnessed a decrease in the number and deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic leading to the downgrading of COVID-19 restrictive measures, but recently President Emmerson Mnangagwa reminded the nation to remain alert given that a new COVID-19 variant had been identified elsewhere.


Zimbabwe now at COVID-19 lockdown Level 2, President Mnangagwa


President Emmerson Mnangagwa, yesterday at State House, announced that the country was now moving from level 4 lockdown to level 2.

“I am, therefore, introducing a relaxation of the current level four (4) lockdown to level two (2) lockdown,” said President Mnangagwa.


Against all odds Zimbabwe will successfully vaccinates its population

Zimbabwe has managed to vaccinate at least two million (2m) people against COVID-19 despite the shortage of medical equipment and funds and has settled for the third position out of the 54 countries in Africa, this was said by Vice President and Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Constantino Chiwenga in a speech read by his Deputy, Dr. John Mangwiro during the World Health Organisation (WHO)Seventy-First Regional Committee for Africa which is being held virtually.


Cases decrease, schools to reopen

Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa in a post-Cabinet media briefing on Wednesday announced that there was a reduction in COVID-19 cases in the country and notable decrease was recorded in Manicaland, Harare, Mashonaland East and Bulawayo Provinces.
