HIV testing serves as an entry point to HIV prevention, care and treatment programs.

In late 2015, the country adopted the UNAIDS 90-90-90 Global Fast Track targets aimed at ensuring that by 2020:

• 90% of all people living with HIV will know their HIV status;

• 90% of all people diagnosed HIV positive will receive sustained antiretroviral therapy; and

Breastfeeding is one of the most natural and beneficial acts a mother can do for her child.  Dramatic health benefits have been proven to pass from mother to child through breastmilk, from antibodies which protect an infant at birth...to the exclusive nutrients in mother's milk which have been shown to prevent a number of childhood diseases...the benefits are incalculable.  There is no other single action by which a mother can so impact the present and future health of her baby. Yet, in today's society, breastfeeding is often thought of as unnecessary.  Young mothers are mistakenly led to believe that formula does very well as a replacement for breastmilk.  It emphatically does not! Here are some of the reasons why you should breast feed your baby.

The 2016/17 Promotion Season for high nutrient seed varieties was launched in style at Prime Seed Co Stapleford Trial site on 22 August 2016. This occasion was graced by the Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr. Parirenyatwa and the Principal Director in the Department of Research and Specialist Service, Mrs. Hikwa representing the Minister of Agriculture, Mechanization and Irrigation Development, Dr. Made who was the guest of honor. Also gracing this occasion was Her Excellency from the embassy of Malawi. The technical officers from the two government Ministries, FAO staff, the Livelihood Food Security Programme (LFSP), DFID, Seed Producing companies that include Prime Seed Co and Zimbabwe Super Seeds, and Farmers from Silobela who joined forces as they celebrated a milestone in the fight against micronutrient deficiencies.
