Ministry of Health ramps up COVID-19 vaccination

In a post- Cabinet media briefing, Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Sekai Nzenza, as the Acting Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services reported that a total of 295 new cases were recorded during the week, compared to 179 the previous week. She added that twenty-six (26) new hospital admissions were recorded during the reporting period compared to the thirteen (13) reported the previous week.

Government of Zimbabwe prioritises sexual reproductive health

Vice President and Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Constantino Chiwenga   said it was a right for every citizen to enjoy Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, but as it stands, a significant proportion of women and girls had challenges in accessing SRHR while addressing the 19th edition of the International Inter-Ministerial Conference on Population and Development in Thailand on Monday.

Zimbabwe launches national Polio vaccination campaign

Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care in Zimbabwe Dr John Mangwiro yesterday officially launched Zimbabwe’s mass campaign aimed at vaccinating and protect all children under the age of five years in the county against Polio. He said Polio was a dangerous disease which causes paralysis and death particularly among children and was targeted for eradication globally.

Prioritise school vaccinations, Cabinet resolves

In order to curb the spreading of COVID-19 at schools, Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Honourable Monica Mutsvangwa in a post-Cabinet media briefing reported that Cabinet resolved provinces should increase vaccination at schools.
