{"id":6534,"date":"2024-02-01T14:22:12","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T14:22:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/mohccnew\/?p=6534"},"modified":"2024-02-01T14:22:12","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T14:22:12","slug":"advisory-on-use-of-masks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mohcc.gov.zw\/?p=6534","title":{"rendered":"Advisory on Use of Masks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ministry of Health and Child Care continues to encourage the use of masks to curb the spread of Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>When to Use a Mask<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following are situations in which people are encouraged to use masks.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For healthy people &nbsp;wear a mask only if you are taking care of a person with suspected COVID-19 infection<\/li>\n<li>Wear a mask if you are coughing or sneezing<\/li>\n<li>Masks are effective only if used in combination with frequent hand sanitizing with alcohol sanitizer or soap and water<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;If you wear a mask you must know how to use it and dispose of it properly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Use and Dispose of a Mask<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avoid touching the mask while using it<\/li>\n<li>If you touch the mask while using it, clean your hands with sanitizer or water and soap.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>How to Put on, Use, take off and Dispose of a Mask<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Before putting on a mask clean hands with sanitizer or water and soap<\/li>\n<li>Cover mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.<\/li>\n<li>Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it becomes damp<\/li>\n<li>To remove the mask: Remove it from behind ( do not touch the front of the mask)<\/li>\n<li>Immediately discard into a closed bin.<\/li>\n<li>Clean hands with sanitizer or soap under running water<\/li>\n<li>Do not re-use single use masks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Continue practising hand hygiene&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ministry of Health and Child Care continues to encourage the use of masks to curb the spread of Covid-19. &nbsp;When to Use a Mask The following are situations in which people are encouraged to use masks.
